Student Signature Box Size Calculator — How It Works

Converts a student signature box’s millimeter dimensions into pixels and inches for digital forms scanned or designed at a given DPI.

How it works

  1. Enter the signature box’s width and height in millimeters.
  2. Enter the DPI (dots per inch) the form will be scanned, printed, or designed at.
  3. The tool converts the millimeter dimensions to pixels using pixels = (mm ÷ 25.4) × DPI, and also shows the size in inches.

Why this matters

Digital forms and e-signature fields need to be sized in pixels, but legal and government forms are usually specified in millimeters. Converting correctly avoids signature boxes that are too small to capture a legible signature or too large for the form layout.

Example

A 50mm × 20mm signature box at 300 DPI becomes about 591 × 236 pixels (≈ 1.97 × 0.79 inches).
